What are types of managers in big organization? - February 26, 2009

Actually I was busy with other works from last 2 days so I didn’t get chance to update business management funda. Anyways, let me start with another tips.

We can define the organizational structures only if its big organization. There are various positions in organizational hierarchy. Basically, there are main 3 types of management level.

1.) Top-level Managers: They are responsible for the major activities of the company. They establish plans and goals for the company. “Chief executive officer”, “Chairman”, “President”, “Vice-President”, “Directors” are include in top level managers.

2.) Middle Level Managers: They are directly conscientious for the managing the performance of first level managers. They are responsible for the operational efficiency of various departments in the company. They hold designations such as “Department Heads”, “Project Leaders”, “Plant Managers”, “Divisional Head” etc.

3.) First Level Managers: They are responsible to manage the performance of non-managerial employees. They have given different titles like “Foreman”, “Clerical Supervisor”, “Technical Supervisor” etc.

Well, those are the types of managements that big companies have decided and also follow it. Choose your managerial level and share your experience with me for this position and do you enjoy with the same position in your organization?

definition and functions of a good management - February 24, 2009

One day, I was watching movie. Suddenly one of my friend came to my home to meet me. He rapidly asked me what the actual management is. Well, I have started to teach him with basic information (ofcourse as per my knowledge).

What is management? Management is the procedure of plan preparation, plan arrangement, leading, work assignment and controlling the activities of various employees within the company through methodical, co-operative and co-ordinate human hard works to accomplish organizational objective. This is the definition of management but a good manager is that who can build personal and good relation with employees apart from company. So make them happy, they will definitely respect you.

Ok, that was the definition of management but what manager actual do in the field. I mean what are the functions of good managers? First of all, they have to create a goal for organization and design essential plan to achieve goal. After designing plan, assigning and allocating task should be performed. It is called organizing process. Staffing process will execute once organizing has been finished. It involves activities such as identifying requirement, recruitment, selection and orientation of new employees. You need to motivate employees toward achieving goals. Last but not least, the main element is controlling process. It includes establishing of performance, comparing the actual performance. Finally, take the corrective action if anything goes wrong.

It was the management definition and few basic functions of good managers. You can feel free share good idea with us.

Part 2 – How to do blog writing and marketing -

Let’s start step2. Once you have done installation Wordpress, you need to start writing. You can read step1 here if you didn’t read.

How to write articles: As I wrote in first step that you have to choose only interested niche so you can write best. Start article writing with basic information about yours and blogging which you are going to write. Make 2-3 unique post daily, if you are serious about your blog. But make sure about article quality.

How to do basic marketing of each post: Submit your each post in at least 10 dofollow web 2.0 sites whenever you finished article everyday so it will assist to crawl your article quick.

When you can start full fledge marketing? You can start full marketing once you made atleast 30-40 post. You can do directory submissions, article submission, comment posting, create hub pages and squidoo lences etc. You can find lots of seo services on the WWW.

Please don’t down your passion for blogging. Keep passion as it is. it will take lots of time to be famous it. I see many blogger which has stopped to write because they don’t earn OR don’t have time to do it. I get the blogging idea when I read review of lots of earner via blogging. Keep blogging and enjoy.

Part 1 – basic steps of blogging start up - February 23, 2009

Internet blogging is hot market. People can represent their ideas and thought to the world through it. I don’t have much experience but as per my experience, I would like to share my thoughts about blogging installation.

Prepare blogging game plan. Before start blogging, you have to make one game plan what you will do, what you’ll write, how to write articles etc. Prefer only that market where you can write something different from others OR you can represent your real/best ideas so visitor can enjoy your blogging as well as you. This step will be depending your overall blogging success.

How to choose keywords. After choose your theme; you should have to choose particular industry based keywords where you can get max. Visitors But how you can find it? You can go through Google Keyword suggestion tool, Google SK Tool, SEO Chat etc. Try to find less competitive and highly search key phrases so it will make easy to reach top in major search engines.

Search niche specific domain(s). Why I wrote “S” in bracket because you can start multiple domains with different theme if you have clench in multiple niche. Yes, try to find niche similar domain.

Choose proper Blogging Tool. After purchase domain(s), you need to install blogging script on it. But the question is which script would be best? As per my knowledge and market research, I prefer Wordpress because it has many features and you can find best WP theme on the internet even you can customize it as per your requirement if you are familiar with PHP and HTML. There are many web developers available who can do it for you.

Be active and fulfill dreams after retirement - February 20, 2009

Basically, everybody wants to take rest and enjoy life but that’s not possible so people think that we will take rest after retirement. But I think that’s old style. Now a day, people always try to learn something different every moment even after retirement. Let’s see some examples.

S. Rajgopal was the officer of Indian Guard. He is retired now. He has 3 children and all are married now. His children are living in different countries. After retirement, he has joined TATA group as a consultant and he is also learning about international guard systems after official time. He is so active and intelligent.

S. Venugopal is also retired person who was working with State Trading Corporation on good position. He has 2 children and both are married. He is handling Mumbai based Kanchi Puram branch as well as learning VEDA in free time after his retirement.

K. Vanktesh and his wife have been retired from VIJI Multi national company. Their both son are married and living in USA. They both are working as counselor in Cancer Patient Associations. Even they are learning French language too.

We can see 1 common thing on above examples. Yes, that’s child marriage. They had not any responsibility about their children after retirement or before start any other activities. After retirement, people feel very comfort like flying birds and they can also fulfill their dreams which they were not able to do in past. Even TV channel are also encourage to retired people to be fulfill their dreams. Today, life style is totally different compare to 10-15years ago.

So the Management funda is “Be active in retired life and make your dreams come true without any tension. Share your experienced with newcomers.”

Advantages to having experienced employee - February 19, 2009

Before a week ago, I have seen lots of students who were totally depended on his/her parents even they are 12th class students. Actually there was running a farewell party. Students were literally crying with lots of loud because they know they will never come to school with wearing school dress. They have to leave school because new worlds are waiting for them. I read one day in news paper that past students of IIT have been donated Rs. 50 crores to IIT. They have used money for new technologies and building renovations.

Writer of “White Tiger”, Arvind Adiga has decided to donate 50% amount from his award. He was nominated for best writer a few years ago. He has donated for Mangalore based college. He was the student of that college. Have you heard that any company decided to re-join retired employees? Yes, “ROA” (Reserve Officers Association) had been wanted to build new intelligent group for their organization so they have decided to re-join retired employees and offered good salaries for it. Management believes that it would be much better if organization can work with 30 years experienced people instead of newbie. Experienced people are also known each and everything about companies so Training time will be save. Generally, training is required for newbie employee to know about company culture, working styles etc.

So the management funda is that company should have full details for current and past employee with working progress, attitude, punctuality etc. Company can use their experienced any time and any where.

Use of technologies gives success for sure - February 18, 2009

Once again, exams timing is coming. Different exams will be started from March in India. During this time, students stress will be increased as well as temperature will be down in India. During these days, parents are most irritated by mobile because they feel that their children are wasting time to talk with friends. Extend the useful ideas always quick - February 15, 2009

Everybody will love and accept thoughts if you have any good ideas. “Google” and “Slumdog millionaire” are good examples for the same. Slumdog millionaire is oscar nominated movie. Pirated CDs had been released before releasing movie in markets. The worst part is that most of industry related people had been watched movie through pirated CD before releasing in markets. Even industry people were accepting when media asked questions about pirated CDs. Media has claim to film industry people for piracy CD. Media said that if you can use it very friendly then ordinary people will easily use so please stop this piracy. After this scandal, movie has awarded with OSCAR.

Example of Microsoft is also very interested. Microsoft provides lots of products in Information technology markets but there are many products available which ordinary people can not understand as well as use. Most of those people who are recently coming in this industry or newbie people and trying to learn products. Apart from this, Google has started work to change our life. People are getting benefits of their technologies and products.

As per “Slumdog millionaire”, “Google” and “Microsoft”, we can learn if you want to attract market then present products with simplicity and confidently. Basically, this kind of ideas should attract ordinary people. After that, your ideas will be automatically distributed via SMS, TV, News papers, Media, Advertisement in the global markets. Now a day, email marketing made easy to confine market. Google launched FREE products to attract markets like Google talk, Google Doc, Google Base, Google Crome etc.

Management funda is that your ideas should be simple and useful. If ideas are really useful for business then people will sure apply.

Do the investment in dedicated employees -

Every successful business depends on their employee’s contribution. Yes, that’s true. Companies should have to invest in those employees who can grow company as well as in future. In this competitive world, it is very easy to find out resources but it’s really hard to find dedicated employees who can really help to grow business.

Really, he is only investing in those companies which have good power not only money power but man power and confidence. If we think in favor of him, Face book is also nice example. As per this book, all the successful business man said that they have invested in their employees in stead of company.

In the same book, Azim Premji (MD of Wipro) has also presented their thoughts. In the 1960, he had been said to Pratik Kumar (HR department Head) to prepare best actions to find out dedicated employees. As per his thoughts, company has prepared few criteria for appoint particular position and started to find out best resources as per criteria. Even company has also started to teaching personality and professionalism to their employees.

As per this book, I believe that every business should have good culture which realize employee that they are on the right place. I am sure if company applies good culture then employee can stay with company for long times as well as provide good services.

The management funda is that every organization can only grow if they have good resources which have good capability and efficiency.
